Attorney General DeWine Calls Youngstown Area Fugitive Safe Surrender Event A Major Success

(YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio) – Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine announced today that more than 200 people turned themselves in during last week’s Fugitive Safe Surrender event in Youngstown.

“I am very impressed by the number of people who took action to clear their warrants and clear their names,” said Attorney General DeWine.  “Most of the people who turned themselves in had the chance to clear low-level warrants.  By clearing these warrants, many participants can now begin the process of turning their lives around without worrying about being arrested.”

A total of 212 people turned themselves in to officers during the three-day event at Youngstown’s First Presbyterian Church.
