FBI (Youngstown, Ohio): The Mahoning Valley Violent Crimes Task Force (VCTF), a FBI sponsored task force, announce the arrest of “E-BLOCK” criminal street gang members and their associates after a Mahoning County grand jury returned an Indictment charging eleven (11) people with charges of trafficking in cocaine, trafficking in heroin, felonious assault, trafficking in counterfeit controlled substances, aggravated robbery, possession of heroin and participating in a criminal gang.  In addition, one other person was charged through the Mahoning County Juvenile Court for their participation in the criminal street gang.

Men arrested for their participation or association with a criminal street gang

The gang was involved in street level drug trafficking and street violence in and around Youngstown’s Westside.  In 2012, the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force began investigating this group because of neighborhood tips detailing their ongoing criminal activity and because the group has been a known catalyst for violence in Youngstown.

The VCTF was assisted in the arrests of the E-Block gang members by the US Marshal’s Violent Fugitive Task Force, Cleveland FBI SWAT, and the Mahoning Valley Crisis Response Team.
