The Community Initiative to Reduce Violence (C.I.R.V.) is a partnership of law enforcement, social service agencies, and community members all gathered with the goal to reduce gun violence in Youngstown, Ohio.
C.I.R.V. members have resolved that “The Violence Must Stop.” C.I.R.V. strives to deliver a focused deterrence message through robust law enforcement initiatives, support services for those seeking change, violence prevention programs, and a platform for the community to develop new strategies and partnerships.
C.I.R.V outreach and intervention programs targets troubled youth and gang members by providing them with the tools to change their lives. Here’s how it works:
